Letter: Sidewalk sale thefts are heartbreaking and cruel
To the editor:
On Saturday, Sept. 2, I had a sidewalk sale on my corner at Lakewood Avenue and 7th Street South.
Everything was going great until I noticed someone had stolen a box of fishing lures, some of which I’ve had for over 40 years.
Someone else stole a small pewter box jewelry set I’ve had since the 1960s.
It’s not like I was selling for much money; that’s beside the point. The point is stealing is just wrong. Stealing from a sale like that is just heartbreaking and cruel.
