Letter: United by the goal of improving Lake City
To the editor:
Leaving the Oct. 25 candidates’ forum, I had a conversation with a stranger, a woman I met in the foyer as I exited city hall.
I don’t recall how the topic began, but it ended in our sharing aspects of Lake City we admired: well-kept homes and yards, the restored city hall, parks, the natural beauty - back and forth went the exchange as we accumulated a long list. And we both agreed it was a wonder more people didn’t know what Lake City has to offer.
