Letter: When it comes to the beach, marina is missing the boat
To the editor:
I congratulate Destination Lake City for their forward thinking plans for Lake City.The future looks promising, but what about the here and now?
Lake City has a diamond in the rough in our downtown beach. What do we offer? A rocky shore and a half-assed bathhouse.
Most communities would take advantage of such a treasure.They would have a modern clean bathhouse. Sand would be brought in as needed for sand castles and smooth walking. The beach would be raked regularly, both the shore and into the water.
