I have become deceptive in my senior years. Months ago, I turned the adjustment screw on the bathroom scale so it showed a negative 8 pounds. Stepping on it I would see a weight displayed I could live with even though the scale still made the same loud, creaking sound. I was hoping to forget the skullduggery so I could enjoy the weight loss. Hasn’t happened yet.
