Proposed licensing standard shows CRT is coming to schools
A teacher licensing standard called “Racial Consciousness and Reflection” is one of eight proposed “Standards of Effective Practice” in Minnesota.
If adopted, this new standard will require private and public school teachers to “have a foundational understanding of how race and racism are embedded in our institutions and everyday life” in order to “understand and implement culturally-responsive education.” Teachers must embody the standard to “effectively teach” Minnesota students.
