Wanted: Lake City stories and storytellers
On Jan. 25, Eloise Blattner stopped by the Lake City Arts (LCAA) Center during the Hot Cocoa Crawl sponsored by the Shops of Lake City. Eloise, a past president of the Lake City Historical Society had a wonderful hot cocoa story to share with a captive audience of Ruby and Penny and Sammy the Snowman.
She told them how when she was young girl she and her friends would skate across Lake Pepin to Stockholm and enjoy hot cocoa before making the three-mile return trip across the ice.
