Why it’s important to ‘Save the Wave’
Recently the Lake City Historical Society (LCHS) commissioned an art conservator to assess the condition of the iconic “The Wave” sculpture to see how extensive the damage to it was and to see if it could be restored and preserved. (Preservation of culturally significant items is part of their mission).
They, along with the Lake City Area Arts (LCAA), shared the good news that yes “The Wave” could be repaired and returned to a prominent place in the community where it could be enjoyed by all.
