48-45 win over Pine Island is girls’ second straight

On Tuesday night the Lake City Tiger girls basketball team traveled to Pine Island and won 48-45.

After a slow start on the offensive end the Tigers were able to make a few late first half three pointers to take a lead. At half time Lake City was winning 16-12.

Lake City went on a few runs but Pine Island kept fighting back.

The Tigers extended the lead to 10 points with about 3 minutes left, but the Panthers fought back again to get the game within 3 points at the end.
