Baseball Tigers open season with resounding win over PEM

The Lake City baseball team finally got their season under way Monday night as they pounded Plainview-Elgin-Millville (PEM) 11-0 in five innings at Plainview.  It wasn’t exactly pretty as a combination of hits, errors, walks, passed balls and wild pitches produced the win for the Tigers in the first game of a busy week.   
Lake City is scheduled for five games in five days, thanks to the prolonged winter.
Undoubtedly it was the latest start of a baseball season ever for a Tiger baseball team.
