Baseball Tigers split four games in busy week

The Lake City High School baseball team split four games last week, suffering a 7-2 “payback” loss at Kasson-Mantorville Monday and a tough luck 3-1 defeat at Winona Cotter Friday.
On Saturday at Bill Kieffer Field the Tigers cut loose with a 32-hit attack in a doubleheader sweep over a strong Stewartville team. The Tigers beat Stewartville 14-12 and 9-7 in a pair of “donnybrooks” that have become common the past few years when these two teams meet.
