Baseball Tigers split two; playoffs start May 25

The Lake City Tiger baseball team split their last two games of the regular season last week, losing 9-4 to Pine Island at home Tuesday and winning a road game Thursday at Byron 8-1.  
The Tigers open the East Sub Section Tournament May 25 as the eighth seed and will travel to Caledonia, who got the top seed in the East. The loser will be eliminated while the winner will take on the winner between St. Charles, the fourth seed, and Plainview-Elgin-Millville, the fifth seed, in the semifinals on Saturday, May 27 in Lake City.
