Baseball Tigers winning streak continues

The Lake City Tigers’ scheduled baseball doubleheader with Stewartville Monday was suspended by rain after the second inning of the first game, and was scheduled to be resumed Tuesday (beyond press deadline) at the point of suspension.  The game was scoreless at that point.
Last Thursday’s 9-2  win at Cannon Falls was satisfying to the Lake City baseball team  in many ways.  The Tigers beat a team that is traditionally strong in the Hiawatha Valley League,  they beat them on the Bombers’ home field, and they beat them decisively.  Plus it was the Tigers’ fifth win in a row.
