Bombers outlast Tiger boys in conference battle

Cannon Falls outlasted Lake City 98-88 in overtime last Thursday night in a thrilling battle between two top 10 ranked teams in class AA. The game featured 24 lead changes and 18 ties as the Bombers outscored the Tigers 17-7 in the overtime period to secure the victory.

Lake City raced to an early 9-3 lead as the Tigers made four straight field goals to open the game. Miles Rechtzigel had the hot hand early for Cannon Falls as he hit three straight three pointers as Lake City’s lead was trimmed to 13-12 after four minutes of action.
