Boys cruise past Melrose in quarterfinal action

On the state’s biggest stage a total team effort lifted fifth-seeded Lake City to a 60-44 victory over fourth-seeded Melrose at Target Center on Wednesday night. Key contributions off the bench played a big role as Lake City overcame foul trouble for the first time all season. The Tigers have now won 19 straight games and remain undefeated in 2019 as they prepare for the school’s first state semifinal appearance in 29 years.
