Boys hold off late surge by Byron

Behind a career-high 20 points from freshman Nathan Heise, sixth-ranked Lake City improved to 10-1 with a 65-55 win over Byron Friday night at Lincoln High School.  The Tigers led 49-35 with 6:29 to play but saw the lead whittled down to just three points with 1:32 remaining. Despite making just six two-point field goals in the game, the Tigers were able to fend off the furious rally at the free throw line in the final minute.
