Boys overcome slow start against Pine Island
Lake City received a stern early season road test last Friday at Pine Island, needing a second half rally to get past the Panthers 54-41 to remain unbeaten in conference play.
Over three and half minutes elapsed before either team got on the scoreboard for the first time as a pair of free throws by Marc Kjos gave Lake City the early lead. Five straight points by the Panthers turned the tables however as Lake City didn’t make a field goal until 11:05 remained in the opening half of play.
