Boys soccer teams ends up on both ends of a shutout

Lake City Tigers boys soccer played the Stewartville Tigers at home on Tuesday last week, battling oppressive heat and humidity in addition to their opponents. The Lake City varsity team controlled the game, walking away with a 4­-0 win.

Sophomore Charlie White scored from 30 yards out, placing the ball perfectly into the corner of Stewartville’s net. Sophomore Luke Meincke scored two goals, and senior captain Sam Mangold rounded out the scoring with a volley from inside the goalie box.
