Boys soccer wins section round 1 over Stewartville
The Lake City Tigers varsity boys soccer season officially came to a close after two section games against Stewartville and Winona. The team played an exciting game against Stewartville on Oct. 8. The score was tied 0-0 after the regulation and two 10-minute overtimes.
This sent the teams into a penalty shootout to decide the win. No. 11 seed Lake City won the game after a 3-2 victory in the penalty shootout. The penalty kick goals were scored by freshman Rory Palmer, senior Kylar Ruffell, and senior Mason White.
