Boys tennis hits rough patch after win over Shattuck
Things were looking up for the Lake City Tiger tennis team when they took on Shattuck St. Mary’s of Faribault May 2 and walked away 4-3 winners and in possession of the coveted Dison-Garlinski cup.
The brightness dulled quickly as they lost five straight matches 7-0.
In the victory over Shattuck, Jacob Miller won 6-2, 6-0 a No. 2 singles, Tyler Johnson put up the donut 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 and Ian Halpaus cruised 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4.
Alex Holmgren lost a hard fought battle at No. 1 singles, 5-7, 7-5, 2-6.
