Boys win close one against Bombers

Lake City pushed its win streak to five Friday night as the Tigers defeated Cannon Falls 41-40 in another thriller that came down to the final play. Justin Wohlers hit what proved to be the game-winning three-pointer with 1:52 left and then the Tigers locked down defensively as Marcus Banks missed a five-footer just before the buzzer.

The Tigers made just one of seven field goals to open the game and found themselves trailing 7-2 five minutes in before Hunter Lorenson hit back-to-back three-pointers to give Lake City its first lead of the night.
