Carl Kozlowski saves his best for last, wins state championship

Carl Kozlowski graduated from Lincoln High School on June 4.

On June 10 he donned the orange and black one last time as a high school athlete and made it count, winning the 800-meter run and claiming his first state title.

Kozlowski had been close before. Last fall he finished third in the state cross country meet.

He said he came to two realizations in that race that came to help him rise to the top of the podium this spring.
