COVID-19 shift moves football, volleyball to spring

Long anticipated COVID-19 guidance for high school athletics from the Minnesota State High School League arrived Tuesday, and there will be some changes for athletes at Lincoln High School.

The league moved football and volleyball to an abbreviated spring season lasting from March 15 to May 15.

Lake City’s other fall sports–boys and girls soccer, boys and girls cross country, and girls tennis–will take place as previously scheduled. Practice for those sports begins Aug. 17.
