Early lead not enough as Tiger boys fall 69-54 to Rushford Peterson

A strong start didn’t hold up Saturday afternoon for Lake City as Rushford-Peterson used a key 28-7 run that spanned both halves to defeat the Tigers 69-54 in non-conference action.

Gavyn Lorenson scored 10 early points as the Tigers led 16-10 after eight minutes of play. Three-pointers by Luke Fleming and Simon Brand were part of a 12-4 run by Lake City that pushed the lead to 28-18 with 4:40 to play in the first half.
