Five youth advance in free throw competition
Winners in the Jan. 9 Knights of Columbus Council 1865 Free Throw Shooting contest held in Lake City advanced to compete Jan. 19 at the district competition.
Of the original 12 who qualified for the district competition, held in Zumbrota, five have qualified for the regional competition in Rochester on March 8.
Participants who advanced are: Girls — Lillian Schumacher, age 9; Lauryn Stolzenberg, age 10; Adalai Benedict, age 12; Lucy Stuhr, age 13 and Boys — Teegen Briggs, age 11.
