Gavyn Lorenson’s 37 points lead Tigers over Zumbrota-Mazeppa

Sophomore Gavyn Lorenson scored 23 of his career-high 37 points in the second half to lead Lake City to a 74-64 victory over Zumbrota-Mazeppa in the season opener last Monday night at Lincoln High School. Lorenson, the lone starter returning from last year’s 26-6 class AA runner-up team, was an efficient 13 of 17 shooting from inside the arc, including throwing down his first dunk on a breakaway in the first half.
