Gavyn Lorenson’s 47 points shatter 47-year-old Tiger boys scoring record

History was made as Gavyn Lorenson scored a school-record 47 points last Tuesday night as Lake City defeated Byron 79-67 to sweep the season series from the Bears. Lorenson finished 13 of 20 from the field, including five of seven from three-point range and was 16 of 17 at the free throw line in breaking a record that had stood for 47 years at 43 points shared between Randy Breuer and Ben Schramksi.
