Girls advance in playoffs with last second shot from Peyton Meincke

On Feb. 20 the No. 6 seeded Tiger girls basketball team won a thrilling section playoff game over No. 11 seeded Pine Island. It was a tight game throughout the entire contest.

With 8 seconds left Lake City found themselves down one point. They had the ball and had to travel the length of the court.

The game ended on a last second buzzer beating layup by senior forward Peyton Meincke assisted by senior guard Sadie Sanders. The Tigers won 45 - 44.
