Girls basketball gets solid win over Triton
The Lake City Tigers girls’ basketball team traveled to Triton for their second conference game of the week against the Cobras. Lake City came home winners 85-68.
Hailey Reckmann made her first varsity start, filling in for the injured Ava Wallerich.
The Cobras hit the first basket which was answered by one from the Tigers. Mahli Benjamin came off the bench for the Tigers. A nice drive to the basket and a pass to Mya Shones for two gave the Tigers the lead for the first time in the game (15-12) with 9:14 to go in the first half.
