Girls defeat Pine Island in first round of section tournament

The Lake City High School Tiger girls basketball team had a very successful week.
The Tigers record is currently 14-13 after winning the first round of the Section 1AA playoffs against Pine Island on Feb. 22 by a score of 56-37. They are the No. 6 seed and were scheduled to travel to the Mayo Civic Center to face No. 3 seeded Caledonia on Wednesday Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
