Girls golf wins Somerby Invite by 24 strokes
The Lake City Tigers girls golf squad, ranked fourth in the latest Class AA polls, won the Somerby Invite held at Somerby Golf Club on May 6. The Tigers fired a 337 to win by 24 strokes over Fairmont 361, followed by John Marshall 374, Stewartville 383, Kasson-Mantorville 404, Rochester Lourdes 430, Rochester Mayo 457, and Cannon Falls 471.
Lake City was led by Ava Wallerich 83, Marah Rothgarn 83, Hannah LaBonte 83, and Jordana Windhorst-Knudsen 88. Other scores included Ella Matzke 90 and a Taylor Willers 95.
