Girls tennis opens season with win over New Life
The Lake City High School girls tennis team opened its season Friday with a road match against New Life Academy of Woodbury, winning 5-2
Ava Wallerich controlled the No. 1 singles spot with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
Ashley Thieren won a tight match at No. 2 singles with a two set nod 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) tiebreaker.
Kaylee Muenzhuber lost 1-6, 1-6 at No. 3 singles.
Sarah Ziebarth was defeated 4-6, 1-6 at No. 4 singles.
In doubles play, Emma Brunkow and Renae Harvey controlled the pace at No. 1 winning 6-1, 6-0.
