Girls tennis team wins season opener 7-0
The Lake City girls Tiger tennis team opened their season against New Life Academy of Woodbury on Aug. 17 with a convincing 7-0 win.
In singles play, Ava Wallerich made easy work of her win at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-0.
At No. 2 singles, Ashley Thieren went three sets, 6-0, 2-6, 6-1, for the win.
Sarah Ziebarth found success at No. 3 singles cruising 6-3, 6-3.
At No. 4 singles Maddie Medvec was in control 6-0, 6-0.
No. 2 and No. 3 doubles tandems of Renae Harvey and Kaylee Muenzhuber and Adrianna Deegan and Elsie Weinrich received forfeits.
