Girls win first-ever state title for youth bowling program

This past weekend the Lake City Tiger girls bowling team traveled to Bowlero in Eden Prairie to bowl in the state tournament, and they came home with their first state championship.

Lake City started the day in pool play and bowled against seven teams in a two-game match with one point awarded for each game won and series won. The top two point winners and the top two total pinfalls moved onto bracket play.

The Tigers won their first match, taking all three points from Park Cottage Grove.
