History-making girls tennis team competes at state

The Lake City girl’s tennis team had a historic week advancing to the state tournament as a team, a first in the program’s history. They enjoyed an exciting send off on Monday and began play on Tuesday. The team opened against No. 2 seeded Saint James. The Tigers lost 1-6, the lone win for Lake City was foreign exchange student Emma Siert winning 6-2, 6-4. St. James went on to become state champions.
