Lake City baseball team falls behind early in loss to Stewartville
The Lake City Tigers lost to the Stewartville Tigers by a final score of 15-3 on Thursday night at Bill Kieffer Field. Despite a large margin of victory for Stewartville, Lake City stayed in it trying to claw back from an early deficit.
Stewartville scored six runs (one earned) in the top of the first and never looked back. The Tiger defense struggled and Stewartville took advantage of it by putting the ball in play, tallying a total of 14 hits over the course of six innings combined with five Lake City errors.
