Lake City girls unable to catch Stewartville in season’s second loss
The Lake City Tiger girls basketball team lost Stewartville 58-75 on Saturday Jan. 23.
Lake City started off slow and Stewartville would take a quick 0-5 lead over Lake City, but Lilly Meincke had a nice drive to the basket for two for Lake City.
Grace Bany rebounded and passed to Natalie Bremer who took it down on the fast break. A foul sent her to the line for two. She converted one of the two shots, but she stole from Stewartville right in the paint and hit the short jump shot for two, tying the game 7-7 with 14:01 to go in the first half.
