Lake City rally falls short in season-opening loss to Stewartville
Stewartville held off a Lake City rally for a 62-59 victory in a game that was physical and tense throughout to open the 2025-26 season.
Lake City had trouble generating any offense in the early going, starting the year one of eight from the field to go along with four turnovers in the first five minutes as Stewartville built an 8-2 lead.
The Stewartville lead swelled to 16-8 before triples by Luke Narum and Gavyn Lorenson pulled Lake City within two at the halfway mark of the first half.
