Legion baseball team opens season with 2 wins

The Lake City American Legion baseball team started their season belatedly last week with a 2-0 win over Plainview-Elgin-Millville (PEM) on Thursday at Bill Kieffer Field and a 5-4 victory over Lewiston-Altura (L-A) on the road Monday night.
The first two games on the schedule, Wabasha-Kellogg (W-K) June 8 and Chatfield June 12, were postponed because W-K was still competing in the High School State Tournament and the Chatfield game was rained out.  No make ups have been scheduled so far.
