Legion honors Mel Blattner for youth baseball service

On July 22, 2023, Mel Blattner was honored for his many years of service to the American Legion Youth Baseball Program on behalf of the Department of Minnesota American Legion State Commander Paul Hassing, First District Commander Mark Maloney, First District Membership and Louis McCahill Post 110.
Blattner threw the honorary first pitch to start the District Two Divisional Playoff games held at the Bluff View Baseball Complex in Lake City.
