Matmen finish regular season with win over Triton
The Lake City Tiger wrest-ling team is seeded fifth in the Section 1AA tournament and will travel to fourth seeded Stewartville tonight (Thursday) for a 7 p.m. quarterfinal. Stewartville finished the regular season with a 15-11 record, while Lake City finished 8-6. Stewartville beat the Tigers 36-33 in the first dual of the season in early December.
“I’m excited that we worked our way back to meeting them again,” said Coach Doug Vaith. “The kids have worked hard this season, and they’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain.”
