Netters shut out Ellsworth
The Lake City High School girls tennis team traveled to Ellsworth, Wis. Aug. 29 and shut out the Panthers 7-0.
In singles play, Ava Wallerich was in control at No. 1 6-2, 6-1; Ashley Theieren (No. 2) and Kaylee Muenzhuber (No. 3) finished in two sets 6-0, 6-0; and Sarah Ziebarth went 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4.
In doubles, Kasi Cronin and Hailey Meincke were in control 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1; Emma Brunkow and Renae Harvey had to battle out three sets at No. 2 for the win 6-0, 3-6, 6-3; and Katherine Kennedy and Maddie Medvec made short work of a 6-0, 6-1 nod at No. 3.
