powerlifter competes in Alexandria
On Aug. 18, Lake City mother and daughter, Kristi and Lydia Gross, competed at the Noonan Barbell Raw Competition in Alexandria, Minn.
Kristi did her first powerlifting competition this June in Rochester. Lydia went along to offer encouragement, and it was there she decided she wanted to compete. Kristi had two personal best records: a 209.4 pound squat and a 231.2 pound deadlift.
Lydia had three of her best lifts in Alexandria: a 121 pound squat, a 77.4 pound bench press, and a 198.4 pound deadlift.
They are members of Anytime Fitness in Lake City.
