With section title, girls are state bound

The Lake City Tigers qualified for the team’s first state tournament since 1984 with a 37-35 victory over Goodhue in the Section 1AA championship game on March 25. A full-game recap appears on page 8 of this issue.
The first round for the No. 4-seeded Tigers was scheduled for Tuesday, March 30, at 6:30 p.m. against the No. 1 seed, New London-Spicer, at Chanhassen High School, after the Graphic publication deadline.
