Serpents baseball earns slot in Sweet 16 tourney

The Lake City Serpents baseball team has played many fiercely competitive games in its rich 29-year history, but the 2018 amateur team has made it further than any other Serpents team in history, already two wins into the Minnesota Baseball Association State Tournament in Shakopee. Beating Delano on Aug. 18, and a 4-1 win over the Milroy Yankees on Aug. 26, slots them into the Labor Day Sweet 16 tournament.
