Soccer girls start season 1-2-0

In 2020 eight seniors graduated for the Lake City High School girls soccer team. 2021 brings with it four brand new defenders, a veteran goalie, and mature offensive leadership.

“We have been dangerous offensively in each game so far,” says Coach Zemke.

Tigers bowed 2-4 against St. Charles after holding the Saints 1-0 with only 20 odd minutes left on the clock.

The Tigers were also able to score against Byron, a goal that hasn’t happened against the Bears since 2011. Although Lake City lost 1-6, they played strong throughout.
