Softball girls suffer three more losses

The Lake City Tigers girls softball team played three games in four days and were unable to tally a win.
On Monday, April 30 they hosted Zumbrota-Mazeppa (Z-M), losing 22-2.  
Kasi Cronin took the loss on the mound for Lake City.  There were three hits by Lake City from Elyse Dalager, Deonna Jostock and Nora Baer.
Z-M’s leading hitters were Hannah Mensink, 3 for 4, Avery Steffen, 3 for 3, and Makayla Arendt, 3 for 4. Avery Steffen took the win for Z-M.  
Lake City couldn’t keep up with Hayfield on May 1 and fell 14-3. Hayfield scored six runs in the third inning.
