Tennis Tigers split 2 matches
The Tiger girls tennis team split wins in their matches with Fairbault and Rochester Lourdes.
In a consistently tough battle with the Eagles, Lake City found themselves the underdogs in the 6-1 loss.
Ava Wallerich went to task to score the single point for the Tigers in her role at No. 3 singles. She finished the win in two sets 6-2, 7-6 (4) tiebreaker.
At No. 1 singles, Grace Dankers was defeated 1-6, 0-6. At No. 2 singles, Emily Albright stayed close but couldn’t get the win going out 4-6, 3-6. At No. 4 singles Ashley Thieren played tough in her 5-7, 2-6 loss.
