Tiger boys emerge as sub-section champs

Under the bright lights of one of Minnesota’s most iconic basketball venues, Lake City avenged two seasons worth of gut wrenching losses to its newfound playoff rival with a 50-38 victory over Saint Charles in the Section 1AA semifinals Saturday afternoon at the Mayo Civic Auditorium. The win has Lake City on the cusp of its first state tournament berth in boys basketball since the Tigers won the class A championship in 1990.
