Tiger cross-country teams headed to state

Lake City cross country —two races, two trophies, two individuals advancing, two teams advancing to state.  
The Tiger harriers liked the new course at Northern Hills, and the new girls’ distance as they advanced both varsity teams to the state meet Saturday, Nov. 7, at St. Olaf College in  Northfield.  
The boys’ finished second to La Crescent losing by eight points. La Crescent’s Zack Emery defended his sectional title beating Carl Kozlowski by seven seconds. Carl was also runner-up last year.  Mitch Mund advanced as an individual placing sixth among 152 runners.
