Tiger girls come from behind to win Section 1AA title

The Lake City High School girls basketball team is headed for the state tournament for the first time in 37 years after defeating Goodhue 37-35 in the Section 1AA title game.

Lake City, the No. 2 seed, and and No. 4 seed Goodhue met for the title game on March 25 at Century High School in Rochester.

Goodhue scored first.

This game was be a battle of defense for both teams and the Wildcats would only lead by four points with 13:43 left in the first half. It seemed as though anything that could go wrong for the Tigers was going wrong.
